Managing Distributed Teams

Geographically distributed teams are becoming increasingly common. One challenge is to make these teams feel more than virtual and instead as real as a single location team. This talk will consider how management of distributed teams is a special case of management in general, with some specific areas that need attention such as communication, stakeholders, people and conflict management. It will illustrate these areas and explore some approaches successfully used to manage distributed teams in both professional and associative contexts.
